The world economy is continuously moving towards a globalized economy. Today, all companies are directly or indirectly affected by international political and economical events.

In Switzerland, numerous companies work internationally when importing, exporting or creating strategic partnerships and alliances. Geneva hosts an important number of multinationals and international organizations such as the World Trade Organization, UN Economic Commission for Europe, International Trade Centre, European Free Trade Association.

The International Business programme (BIB) is a dynamic and interesting one. This programme allows students to understand the complexity and the influence of the international environment in which companies evolve. Companies are increasingly looking for candidates with the necessary competence and skills to work successfully internationally. The aim of this programme is to encourage the development of managerial and negotiation skills, analytical competence as well as a strategic approach in order to prepare the students for challenges linked to globalization. A deeper understanding of the geopolitical and sociocultural influence on exchange and investment is also emphasized. Prospective managers need to be familiar with other markets, cultures and customs in order to be competitive and profitable in the emerging global economy.

The programme offers an excellent mix of theory and practice. IFM professors have extensive academic background and different professional experiences as directors, managers or consultants. They will bring you a practical and updated approach to management. Speakers will also share their experiences with you during company conferences, and visits to companies will be organised.
