Switzerland is an essential location if you wish to study Finance. Switzerland manages 35 % of the world's private and institutional offshore wealth. Geneva has 300 years of tradition in the field of private banking and is the birthplace and world capital of asset management. Geneva is host to more than 120 banks, 1700 financial companies and 500 independent asset managers.
The Business Finance programme gives students very good structural and environmental knowledge of companies as well as business and market finance knowledge. The subjects include the study of financial institutions, financial markets, portfolio management and strategies. This programme prepares students for the challenges of globalisation, competition and new financial markets, but also of the world financial crisis and the tax havens.
More than
teaching the traditional qualities of a manager, IFM pays particular attention to fostering
entrepreneurial creativity and the ability to master economic, financial and social changes.
Thus, IFM students acquire the necessary tools in order to face a multitude of company
situations and essential managerial skills.
The programme proposes an excellent mix of theory and practice. IFM professors have

management. Speakers will also share their experiences with you during company conferences, and visits to companies will be organised.
The programme opens the door to various careers in the field of finance within companies, banks and financial companies. This dynamic sector is entering a new era of expansion. Some students use their Bachelor as a step towards further postgraduate study.

“During my University studies at
IFM I especially appreciated being
taught by professors with real
world experience ready to equip us
to confront real situations in our
professional careers. IFM offers a
great environment where teamwork
is put into practice. This allowed us
to learn to listen and exchange
ideas in different fields. What's
more the events organised by IFM
give students opportunity to meet
each other and create contacts
that will go beyond their studies.”
