The university welcomes students of more than 40 nationalities each year.
Students coming from abroad to Geneva require assistance when they arrive. University IFM tries to take care of these needs by offering different ways to help them. Thanks to IFM's personal approach, students feel quickly at home here. Throughout the year, we inform our students of the the many events going on in and around Geneva such as shows and exhibitions.
IFM and its student clubs offer numerous activities also organize get-togethers such as ski trips,trips to other large European cities and evenings out in restaurants and clubs.

Switzerland is famous for its safe, multicultural and welcoming environment. Switzerland is also well known for its long tradition of quality education. | Informations about the city of Geneva |
The city of Geneva is an international city. Every year it attracts thousands of students, tourists, business professionals and international employees from all around the world. As a traditional meeting place for more than 2,000 years, Geneva today has about 500,000 inhabitants. 40 percent of its population is made up of about 157 different nationalities. In 1863, Geneva became the birthplace of the Red Cross. In 1919, U.S. President Woodrow Wilson decided to set up the headquarters of the League of Nations in Geneva, today known as the United Nations.

| Housing |
The university does not offer housing on its campus, however IFM offers resources to find accommodation through its database of apartments, student apartments, homes and residences. You can acquire directly to this information through our web page “housing”. You will be able to see how far from the university, and in which district, your future apartment may be situated thanks to an interactive map. Students are advised to begin searching for accommodation as early as possible, meaning right after receiving an acceptance letter from IFM.
For IFM's international students we do have several studios reserved in residences 200m and 500m away from the university.
